Why Diffuse Essential Oils?

Diffusing is to infuse yourself with the wonderful aromas and scintillating fragrances of essential oils! It is the best way to purify the air and neutralize mildew, cigarette smoke, etc. Helps to improve your home, work, or study environment. Diffusing is also a great way to experience the calming and emotionally balancing effects of certain essential oils.

What Do Essential Oils Do For You When They Are Diffused? When essential oils are diffused, the molecules are broken up into micro-fine mist particles. These mist particles stay suspended in the air for long periods of time. Not only does this reduce bacteria, mold and odors in the air, but these micro-mist particles also benefit those who inhale them, by passing the blood brain barrier in a matter of minutes.

Diffused oils don't just mask odors; they actually alter the structure of the molecules that create odors - rendering them harmless! They also increase the available oxygen in the room and produce negative ions. Research at Weber State University shows that diffusing essential oils destroys airborne micro-organisms. Diffusing is so effective that many hospitals in England and France diffuse essential oils daily to keep incidences of drug-resistant bacteria low and to keep the air free from micro-organisms.

Research also shows that cold-air diffusing certain oils may:

~ Reduce bacteria, fungus, mold, and unpleasant odors.

~ Relax the mind and body, relieve tension, and clear the mind.

~ Help with weight management.

~ Improve concentration, alertness, and mental clarity.

~ Dispel odors. With all these benefits, it makes sense to start using a diffuser today.

What Are the Most Effective Oils to Diffuse?

Here are some of the most effective single essential oils for diffusing for a healthy home:

Lemon

Melaleuca alternifolia

Eucalyptus globulus

Ravensara

Lavender

Frankincense

Essential Oil blends, such as:

Purification

Citrus Fresh

Thieves

ImmuPower

Grounding

Essential oils can be diffused for different effects. For example, frankincense and lavender can soothe and calm. The blend, 'Peace & Calming' can help settle down an excited child or help relax a child enough to fall sleep. Joy, along  with Peace & Calming, or lavender are often used for their calming and emotionally balancing effects. Purification or lemon purify the air and neutralize mildew, cigarette smoke, synthetic fragrances and other disagreeable odors.

Possibilities  are endless.

For sleep I love diffusing cedarwood for deep dreams.  When I read my Bible in the morning, I enjoy diffusing Hyssop, Rose of Sharon and Sacred Frankincense for a better spiritual experience.  When I need more focus on work, I diffuse Peppermint or Motivation blend.

Everyday Essential Oil Suggestions

My Daily Essential Oil Routine

I start each morning with 4-5 drops of Lemon essential oil in my water to jump  start a good pH in my body for the day.  Lemon essential oil is high in Limonene which makes it a  great immune builder.  It is anti-tumoral, antiseptic, anti-parasitic, anti-depressant and more!  It  may increase white blood  cells, improve memory and taste amazing!

Then with my morning coffee, I will put a drop of Thieves or  Clove  Cinnamon essential oil for that great spiced taste!  While it tastes great, it is also building my immune system.  These oils are highly antimicrobial, anti-fungal, antiviral, anti-infectious, antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory.  University studies form Weber University and others have documented the effectiveness of boosting immune system and killing airborne and other bacterias.

Then when I read my Bible and have quiet time, I diffuse one of the following combos to help heighten spiritual thinking during that time with God.  It really  works.  I really think heaven must smell like Sandalwood or Rose of Sharon (Cistus) ....sooo good!  I use 3 drops each of  Rose of Sharon, Hyssop and Sandalwood or Sacred Frankincense.   Sometime I'll use the Inspiration Oil Blend.  If I feel congested, I'll use other Biblical oils like Myrtle, Cypress, Galbanum to help open airways, while I'm spending that time with God.  I try to select oils for this time of day that have cleansing  properties for physical, spiritual and emotional.  Hyssop was used in the Bible for many cleansing issues.  The books of Exodus and Leviticus shows us many of the uses.  Rose of Sharon cleanses the blood.  So in Song of Soloman where it is written " I am the Rose of Sharon, the lilly of the valley."  It indicates that Jesus is the Rose of Sharon.  He laid down His life for us at the cross, making us clean before God.  God doesn't miss a detail.  The essential oil of Rose of Sharon actually cleanses our blood.  WOW! This is one of  over 600 verses in the Bible that refers to essential oils.   Hyssop is Mucolytic in nature, also a decongestant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic, antiviral and more!  For more info on Biblical uses of oils check out graphics on the CR91 Sound Health page or schedule a class.

My second glass of water I drink usually has Grapefruit or Peppermint essential oil.  Why? For focus for the day!  Grapefruit also increase energy and help detox the body.  The Japanese government even uses Peppermint essential oil in manufactories to increase production.  Plus it is anti-parasitic, helps with digestion, helps with congestion and so much more.  Peppermint is great at fighting fungus overgrowth, supporting hormones, support the immune system and bone/joint health, respiratory system, headaches, digestive system, varicose veins, eczema and much more. In the summer it is great too put a drop on the back of your neck to keep you cool!

Getting ready for the day!

After I shower, I put two drops of  Rosemary in my hair styling aids, to keep the hair follicles healthy.  If you are one who needs to thicken hair or simple get rid of bald spots, add Cedarwood to that routine.  Then I assess my health needs for the day and will put RC or other respiratory oils  on my spine and chest.   I mix 3 drops of Myrrh with my organic moisturizer or sometimes by itself... I figure if it Queen Esther used it on her skin for 6 months preparing to see the King, the I might try it.  I LOVE IT! Myrrh, is still used today in perfumes to make the smell last longer.
RC   is an oil blend that stands for Respiratory Congestion.
This blend consists of:

  •  Myrtle- which is great for chronic coughs, decongestant and helps with throat infections.
  • Eucalyptus Globulus- Powerful antimicrobial, expectorant, mucolytic, anti-fungal, antiviral, and is great for the flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, larynigitis and more.
  • Marjoram- helps reduces spams and is also anti-infectious, anti-bacterial and antiseptic
  • Pine- opens airways and disinfects the bronchial tract.  One of the best oils of pneumonia and bronchitis.
  • Eucalyptus Citriodora- decongest and disinfects the sinus and lungs.
  • Lavender- calming and antispasmodic, hypotensive, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.
  • Cypress- promotes blood circulation and lymph flow .  Anti-infectious, ant-bacterial, antimicrobial, mucolytic, antiseptic and more!
  • Eucalyptus Radiata- Antibacterial, Antiviral and is strong against bronchitis and sinusitis
  • Spruce-Helps the nervous systems and respiratory systems.  Is anti-infectious, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory.
  • Peppermint- powerful nasal and lung decongestant, reduces cough, improves airflow to the lungs, kills airborne bacteria, fungus and viruses.

Then before I head out the door I put on either Joy or Stress Away , Abundance, Ener Gee or Inspiration Blend on for the fragrance that is uplifting for the day.  Joy can be placed over the heart to deal with grief.

Usually the rest of the water for the day has Orange in it simply because I love the taste but it is also good for my voice and builds the immune system and is calming.

At night time, I use on the following oils to sleep.  Just depends on how sleepy I already am or if I need extra help.  Plus I evaluate the entire respiratory system and my voice to also aid in the selection of what oils to diffuse at night.  Generally Rutavala is my go to sleep oil, but I usually put it on the bottom of my feet and diffuse Cedarwood for those deep dreams.  Peace and Calming, Lavender, Joy,  Coriander, Orange, and  Inspiration also end up in the diffuser at bedtime quiet often.  When choosing an oil that works best for you to help with sleep decide if you need help getting to sleep or staying asleep.

If  it is flu & virus season at least once a week I will diffuse, Thieves, Purification  or Melrose just to kill any germs that are brought into the home and boost the immune system.  I'll rub Thieves on my hands and feet for the same reason.

Getting a Zyto Compass Scan helped me figure out which oils my body needed and helped me get to the point where I no longer have chronic respiratory issues.  My voice and lungs are healthy and I am energized, grounded and focused like never before.  My faith and time with  God daily is the main reason, but He made the oils for our health, so I thank Him for all that He has done for us with these oils.
